There are plenty of
resorts in Malaysia
where you can go to
get away from Singapore
for a couple of days.
These include small
islands, beaches or
even hill resorts.
You can drive to most
of these places, although
it may be wiser to
book with a travel
agent if you are inexperienced
in these parts. Generally
the best time to visit
the beach resorts
is between February
and October, as the
year-end months bring
with it monsoon rains
and winds.

with
typical
facilities,
but
there
is
an
18-hole
golf-course.

| TIOMAN
|
|
|
One
of
the
most
popular,
crowded
and
commercialised
island
getaways
off
the
Malaysian
Eas

It's
located
about
45

there
as

is
an
airport
on
the

Tioman
has
nice
beaches,
chalets,
and
more
expensive
hotel

The
clear
water
also
makes
Tioman
ideal
for
snorkelling
and
diving.

small
fishing
town
that
provides

| GENTING
HIGHLANDS
|
|
|
Located
about
45
minutes'
drive
from
the
capital
Kuala
Lumpur,
Genting
Highlands
(1700
m
above
sea
level)
is
a
popular
destination
with
Singaporeans,
largely
for
its
casino
and
cool
weather.
There
is
family
entertainment
as
well,
in
the
form
of
a
theme
park
and
amusement
facilities.
The
drive
up
and
down
the
winding
hill
roads
can
be
tricky,
so
many
people
prefer
to
take
a
coach
or
cable
car.
